About Us

We are a Registered Charity (D11) here in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Since it's formation in 1993, every day brings new Cancer patients who need our financial and emotional support. This set of web pages assists us in reaching a wider network of people who can help us with financial funding.

We thank you for taking an interest in our association by your visit to this site.

During the fifteen years since the start of the association, Raziye, along with many supporters has....

* Organised annual "cancer walks", attended by thousands

* Organised and implemented a "mobile nationwide early diagnosis service"

* Employment of a psychologist and ten other personnel at an oncology unit of 28 beds

* Payment of flight tickets, accommodation and expenses for patients and companions of those who have to be treated abroad

* Varying needs of cancer patient's families unable to work

* Payment of education fees of child patients at school or university

* Supply of special bras, implants and wigs

* Introduction of a home care service with nurse and psychologist

* Pay costs when appropriate care cannot be undertaken in a state hospital

* On-hand English and Greek carers/translators for treatment in South Cyprus, plus travel expenses paid

* Organised monthly seminars on the disease with local and international oncologists and experts

* Published a monthly gazette "Umut" or "Hope"

* Integrated and involved cancer patients into the workforce and activities of the association.

Raziye continues, along with supporters, daily, to help cancer sufferers and their families deal with and be treated for this disease, but your HELP is always needed not only financially but also in organisation and management.
